The hyacinths are in full bloom and the scent has kept me company throughout my visit. We went to Quarry Bank Mill over the weekend and I couldn’t help but invest in some plants – these are medicinal and wildflowers, which bees love. I’m going to make it my priority to have plants that bees will enjoy feasting on.
On the no-dig beds I am planning on also growing salad leaves, rocket and tomatoes, so the taller plants will provide protection to the salad leaves and lettuce. The garlic is growing well, and I have planted my early potatoes; this year I have chosen Rocket. I have also direct sown a range of snap peas and mangetout, which I mention in the video.
